Now you have accomplished your initial goals, do not let it all slide. Remember, to ensure continued success, a cycle of evaluation must be in place. Ensure your KPI’s can demonstrate what is working and what isn’t.
Where required, improve and redefine, where successful, leave them be and continue to monitor. Above all else, ensure you give your online changes to take effect. Do not chase results each day. Publish and allow a soaking period. You will soon know how long it takes for your site changes to be published in the search engine listings.
You will soon discover that pay per click advertising can be bypassed altogether. If you do not think so, then I wish you all the best in your venture, but make sure you keep a keen eye on your ROI.
And finally, pay per click can be used successfully but it does take a lot of time, understanding and management.
I am not stating that you MUST NOT use it, just to be selective. It is not a business service that suits all models although it can suit some. But it must be used wisely with tight fiscal control and awareness of costing implications. I am offering the 4-4-2 WAY as a cost effective alternative for you and your business to consider.
