The P.P.C. facts
- No training or experience will with result in a vast outlay for small return or your adverts will show for totally unrelated searches and as such, will result in a cost for little to no return. In addition, as today’s internet users are smarter and much more suspicious, they have become more aware that ANYONE can buy a sponsored link and as such, many users now ignore P.P.C. adverts altogether.
- Traffic may be specific or generic browsers, but there is no guarantee that they will purchase or that they are not competitors and their representatives checking out the competition. No matter how good the P.P.C adverts are, if the landing page is not what they have specifically searched for, they will not convert. Hence more cost, little to no return
- The higher you rank in the P.P.C. listings will result in more traffic, but refer to point 2, they may not be customers
- P.P.C. is cost effective if you understand the marketplace you are in, fully understand the finer points of keyword usages, the differing methods of keyword phrases, your current bounce rate, a comprehensive understanding of the analytics your site is producing, your marketplace being slim on competition, low cost bidding…and of course, the ability to monitor your P.P.C. performance constantly during your working day
- If you state a budget of £50.00 per day, what is not stated to you is that your advert will display accordingly. Namely, unless you fully understand all in point 4, your advert could be shown sporadically throughout the evening…not good if your product is aimed at business owners. Alternatively, your budget could well be exceeded within minutes and your adverts will stop running for the rest of that trading day.
- There is an easier way to market online and I expose that now. It isn’t new, it isn’t complicated. I call it the 4-4-2 way.
